This years LA Calendar Motorcycle Show was great! I flew into Long Beach Saturday and as soon as I pulled up I could tell it was going to be a great show. The perfect setting for a first class motorcycle show right on the water next to the 1,119 foot long Queen Mary which was first launched in 1936. When I walked in I could hear the roar of a bike competing at the S&S Cycle World Championship Horsepower Dyno Shoot Out. The best of the best turned out, pulling some incredible horsepower numbers…one bike tapped out the Dyno at over 500 horsepower! Another pushed the limits just over the edge and blew his engine to bits! Oil and debris went everywhere shutting down the drags for a while. They had to clean the oil off of the Dyno machine and some of the spectators as well. There were lots of beautiful bikes on display I got to visit with a lot of friends and many of the best bike builders in the country like Jim Guiffra …. Chica …. Mike Thomas …. Charlie Montgomery… Marcus Bucklemund and many others. There were lots of great vendors on hand showing off there products including: Stoney Straps… AFT Customs…. and Patriot Suspension just to name a few. I had a great time and look forward to next years show. Jack
