World of Wheels Shows Kick off the New Year in Fine Style
Birmingham is known as “The Magic City” and it lived up to that reputation with this year’s 38th annual O’Reilly World of Wheels. 325 cars, trucks and bikes filled two levels and all three exhibit halls of the spectacular Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. This event has always drawn the most outstanding cars from the local area and some of the best national show cars as well. This year was no different for the motorcycles as well, with top honors going to Micheal Blackmon with his 2007 American Iron Horse Slammer for the John Meyer Memorial Award: Best First Time Shown Bike.
This year's O'Reilly World of Wheels in Chattanooga, TN was truly a sight to behold and like the Birmingham show, did not disappoint attendess. The 41st installment of the Chattanooga show had a fresh and vibrant feel, offering spectators an opportunity to see several spectacular vehicles that were making a first time appearance in the area. Competition was fierce for the top awards, but ultimately Oseph Melton, Jr. and his 2007 JYC Custom Chopper took the Chattanooga Charlie Award for Best First Time Shown Bike.
