Daytona Bike Week is jam packed with events, one being the Daytona 200 by Honda. Roving reporter Bart Mitchell was there for the inaugural year that the race began after dark and the first 200 to have a rolling start from behind a pace car, rather than a standing start from pit road. In addition to these changes was the race starting on Friday evening rather that Saturday afternoon. Adding an even more unusual twist to the race was the shortening of the distance by two laps due to two full-course cautions, a red flag, and lights going out. The Daytona 200 by Honda race kicks off the AMA Pro Racing season and with all these firsts, working out the kinks was no less exciting to see this kind of horsepower racing by. Sit back and enjoy the pictures Bart sent in as many are from pit row itself with behind the scenes action.
