Fun Despite Mother Nature
Dave "Dirtball" Donlon traveled to this event from Boise, ID and had a decent time.
Here’s his take on this year’s shindig: “Made it to Elko noon Friday, nice day, nice trip. Show was great - lots of cycles. 5:30 PM skies opened up and poured. Canceled concert and everyone took cover at the casinos or anything dry. Rained all Friday night and still raining Saturday morning. Ride to Lamoille, at the base of the Ruby Mountains, was soggy. Saturday evening at 4:30 PM skies cleared and the party started again, concert with Zepparella and Hell’s Belles went on as scheduled. Damn those chicks are good! concert ended around 10 and everybody went back to partying. Sunday woke up to rain again and we loaded up to head back to Boise. Made it all the way to Duck Valley Indian Gas-n-Go where there were 100’s of bikes holed up as right after that we ran into snow & ice, rain and thunderstorms. Was glad I loaded up Harley in the truck.” Dirtball got some great pictures and next year’s Elko event is slated for June 8 -10, so we’re hoping we’ll get continued coverage! Meanwhile, his photos captured all that went on....
