Hannibal American Legion Riders Post 1552 Present The 4th Annual Vet Fest
BikerHotline reader Harry Shortt sent us some information on this heartwarming, worthwhile and fun event to remind us all of the support needed by those who supported us in war. The photo gallery below is of the 2008 event which, from all appearances, looked like a fun time while still remembering the purpose of the event through the ride and watchfire retiring old flags. Young and old alike attend this event as it is important to pass this information along to the new generation. This year’s event will be held June 20, 2009 at the Hannibal American Legion Post 1552, Rochester St., Hannibal, NY. A breakfast buffet prepared by “the Sons of the American Legion” from 7 AM to 11 AM while the Poker Run registration will start at 10 AM with a departure time of 11 AM. Affordable fees of $10 single and $15 couple for participants. Music will be by “Dam Dog” with food, drinks, friends and a great time for all with the public welcome. There also will be vendors, flag day ceremonies, Joe Malloy from H& L Performance, raffles, motorcycle games, door prizes and the watchfire at dusk. There will be shelter from the elements as well as primitive camping on site. Near by hotels will have specials in Oswego and Fulton. So if you’re going to be in the neighborhood or reside in this area, join in and support a worthy cause - all proceeds go to Veteran’s needs. Call Fred at 1-315-420-1477 or Joan at 1-315-289-3306 for further information. Meanwhile, check out last year’s shindig.
