Leadoff Easyriders Bike Show In Pomona
Has Excellent Bike Competition

    Photos By Bart Mitchell

Roving reporter Bart Mitchell dropped us a note with his photos on the Pomona stop of the Easyriders 2010 Bike Show Tour

“I wasn't sure how attendance was, but the overall show was a step higher from last year. I heard that some bikes were turned away because the show filled up and it seemed that was true. John Shope of Sinister Industries had 3 baggers at his display with one of his bikes and a client’s in the Judged show, which seemed to work out just fine. His client’s bike received the Paul Yaffe Bagger Nation award and his was the last announced Best of Show award of the 3 for Judged and the 3 for Participant.”

“The bikes Sinister Industries brought to the show were amazing and very much created a lot of conversation for the people who like baggers. Paul Yaffe himself brought out 2 baggers also, one I saw him riding at the 69th Sturgis Rally last August.  These baggers that Paul Yaffe and Sinister Industries brought have 23" & 26" front wheels, custom rakes, modified bags, fairings, side panels, tanks and fenders...and that's just the things to make them look good!  And, if you’re wondering, both these guys ride these bikes distances and they're not just show pieces.”

“There where a lot of other wonderful bikes like Scott Bowling's Triumph that won 1st in the Specialty Judged class. With a lot of local shops represented Highway 66 Choppers, Lucky 7 Motorsports, Todd Cycles, Road Dog Customs, API, Long Beach Customs, Ransom Customs, LA Speed Shop, Big Bear Choppers on display and I'm sure a few I'm missing.”

“The Pomona kick off for the Easyrider series hopefully set this year to be a great bunch of shows.  With Sacramento show on the 16 &17 of January we will soon see how fantastic . If this year is anything like last year, Sacramento will step it up a bit and bring some even better bikes. I'm excited to see how the bagger class will compare with the Sinister Industries baggers.”

Bart got some great pics of the competing bikes and those that won awards...enjoy!
