The 11th Annual SWISS-MOTO was once again THE meeting place for motorcycle fans in Zurich, Switzerland. With over 66,000 visitors during the four days of the exhibition, SWISS-MOTO has further consolidated its position as the largest Motorcycle, Scooter and Tuning Exhibition in Switzerland. The annual event took place over February 20-23, 2014.
The show is all about the motorized two-wheelers: New models, current trends and products from the accessories and clothing sector, shows and special shows. A few trends were visible: bikes with high comfort, trendy design, sophisticated electronic gimmicks, environmentally friendly facilities, impeccable suitability for everyday use and with attractive prices were in the spotlight.
The tremendous PS Supersport guns have been pushed back into second place. Both the European and Asian manufacturers have responded to the trend with new, attractive models. The new section on travel gave visitors a sense of where they could take these exciting new rides.
At the SWISS-MOTO, many prominent personalities were on the spot and gave visitors their autographs including seven-time world champion sidecar racer Rolf Biland, Randy Krummenacher, Moto2 pilot Tom Lüthi and former Miss Switzerland Christa Rigozzi.
A special treat this year was the special exhibition "American Classics." Alex Lüchinger Classic Motors Ltd. demonstrated the highlights of classic American motorcycles.
At the SWISS-MOTO 2014, Freddy Nock planned a new world record. The 49-year-old experimented with six other riders to ride at the same time in a steel ball 4.90 meters in diameter.
As part of the Customizing & Tuning Show SWISS CUSTOM, Urs Erbacher rebuilt a Victory HAMMER S along with his team at Fat Attack Custom Bikes AG . Erbacher is considered the most successful custom bike designer of Switzerland. He is also a three-time FIA European Champion in the Funny Car class and three times European Champion in the Top Fuel class.
The Fuel Girls from England entertained with their new show.
There was also much to admire from Classic Cycles owner Bela Oberwil.
The "Olis Kustom Garage" was founded in Wall Bach in August 2010, and there is now "Boss Hoss" Switzerland representation. The 2014 SWISS-MOTO surpassed the 2013 show in visitors and presentations. The riding season is now open! Ride safe everyone!
