Best Bikes of World of Wheels 2014

Cruisers and choppers and baggers… oh my! Just about every type of bike was well-represented at this year’s World of Wheels Chicago show. If there’s a style of bike with any sort of following, it could be seen here. Each year, we like to check it just to see what trends are being celebrated from the street.
Throwback 60s choppers made a bit of a comeback this year, which was a nice surprise to see a nod to traditional customization being redefined in the second decade of the new century. You could lump rat bikes in that category, too, though fortunately for all involved the flat black paint was left in the garage. Baggers have evolved tremendously from just a couple of years ago, with even bigger wheels and more dynamic paint. Just three years ago, it seemed like they were more about their stance and audio componentry, now it’s all about the art of motion. Perhaps the least represented were bobbers, cafe racers and naked bikes, but there were a few examples of each. The sport bikes (a.k.a. crotch rockets) had an entire section, and we got shots of the standouts, but, as you will see, the sexiest sheetmetal this year belonged to the baggers, choppers and cruisers. Enjoy!
