Ironhorse Writer
American Biker Post

Please accept this as a personal invitation to view my site, The Ironhorse Writer - American Biker Poet. Over 30 years of riding and writing of the Biker lifestyle upon the asphalt range.

I've had the honor of being featured within several national motorcycle publications as well as being one of several speakers featured during the 9-11 remembrance held at Crissy Field in San Francisco. Two of my pieces, "That Day" as well as "Three Hundred Forty Three" were read to those gathered. My hope is that you will consider my work as a possible addition to your newsletter publication. The popularity of Biker Poetry is growing as is evident with the increasing venues offering its unique perspective of the Biker lifestyle.

Biker Poetry, to me, is a natural offshoot of a long standing, much loved American tradition, Cowboy Poetry...Albeit upon a Steel Steed.  Although "Biker" in nature, my work does not reflect the mainstream, stereotypical view of what is generally perceived of those, "In the Wind." I pride myself in presenting pieces that can actually be read to the entire family. What you will find within are straight from the heart experiences from yours truly, offered in story teller fashion, so as to unfurl the road ahead, and hopefully, your imagination. Please take a moment and sign my Guestbook.

Around each bend, within each town, a story awaits to be told. Read what Bikers are riding about.

Regards,

The Bitch Can Ride
Ironhorse Writer
© 3/22/2002

Queen of the hop, belle of the ball,
All the above or none at all.
She'll fringe your leather, chap your hide.
Make no mistake, the bitch can ride.

Tequila's her poison, no salt or lime,
While others pass out, she's reached her prime.
Her badge of honor, her source of pride,
When brothers admit, the bitch can ride.

She has her daddy's wanderin' way, has her mama's soul,
When she's backed against the wall, the girl can rock n roll.
If she takes you for your word, then finds out that you've lied,
Best you stay off of the road, you know the bitch can ride.

Likes to wear her leather tight, as if it had been sprayed.
Ain't no use in judgin' 'cause her dues have long been paid.
Righteous is the lady, who will never be denied.
Pound for pound, toe to toe, it's known the bitch can ride.

Those try'n to 'make a move' find themselves frustrated.
She quickly makes it known to 'those,' I'm unaffiliated.
Leaves 'em all with egos, that want to run and hide.
Man or scoot, heels or boots, damn, the bitch can ride.

She has her daddy's wanderin' way, has her mama's soul,
When she's backed against the wall, the girl can rock n roll.
If she takes you for your word, then finds out that you've lied,
Best you stay off of the road, you know the bitch can ride.

'If you can read this, the bitch fell off', on the backs of many bros.
Always seems to draw a laugh, 'cause she damn well knows.
Ever willing to shed some light, she'll pull right along side.
'To one and all, I don't fall, 'cause THIS BITCH CAN RIDE!"
