Topeka Harley-Davidson and BriggsAuto.com present the Firecracker Extravaganza featuring AMA GNC Flat Track Racing Series
TOPEKA, KS (June 16, 2008) – Heartland Park Topeka is pleased to announce their partnership with Topeka Harley-Davidson and BriggsAuto.com to present the Firecracker Extravaganza featuring American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Grand National Championship (GNC) Flat Track Racing Series. Together, they are planning a memorable holiday weekend that cannot be missed by motorsport fans.
“We are excited about the involvement of Topeka Harley-Davidson and Briggs Auto in our Fourth of July Firecracker Extravaganza,” said Michael Casey, Motorcycle Promotions for Heartland Park. “These are two excellent businesses in Topeka that support motorcycle racing and help to promote the excitement of AMA’s premiere dirt track motorcycle racing at HPT.”
The Topeka Harley-Davidson and BriggsAuto.com Firecracker Extravaganza featuring AMA GNC Flat Track Racing Series will be held on Friday, July 4 at the Heartland Park Topeka dirt track stadium. This event will feature the thunder of the big twins from AMA GNC Flat Track Racing Series, returning to the heartland for the first time since 2000.
On Saturday, July 5, Topeka Harley-Davidson is proudly hosting a Rider’s Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. The breakfast gives fans of all ages the opportunity to meet their favorite AMA GNC Flat Track racers in an up-close and personal setting.

HPT will open its gates to the public at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 4 and qualifying will begin at 4:30 p.m. Opening ceremonies are set for 7 p.m. and racing will immediately follow. The Expert Twins main event starts at 9 p.m. followed by the AMA main event at 9:15 p.m. Tickets are available now and can be purchased at www.hpt.com, Topeka Harley-Davidson, and Ticketmaster.
Following the races, there will be a firework show presented by American Medical Response. Come out for some exciting, “Red Hot Racing” on the dirt and then stick around for one of the largest fireworks display in Northeast Kansas.
