SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (March 12, 2008) – The San Bernardino Convention & Visitors Bureau (SBCVB) has just announced the Berdoo Bikes & Blues Rendezvous tickets are now on sale through their Web site at www.route-66.org. Tickets are also available for purchase at “Our Town” the retail partner of the California Welcome Center – San Bernardino, located at 1955 Hunts Lane, off Hospitality Lane in San Bernardino. The SBCVB has partnered with the San Bernardino City Professional Firefighters – Local 891 and the City of San Bernardino to create a springtime event featuring motorcycles and music on the downtown streets of San Bernardino at 2nd and “D” Streets on May 2-3, 2008. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the newly named Edward G. Hirschman Burn Center at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
“The Preferred Bike Parking Package is definitely the best buy,” states Tom Rubio, marketing director of the San Bernardino City Professional Firefighters. “This $20 package includes Friday and Saturday admission along with preferred parking within the gates for both days.” Spectator admission is $5 per person per day.
Attractions to the Berdoo Bikes & Blues Rendezvous will include continuous live entertainment on two stages featuring Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers on the Time Warner stage on Saturday evening, Team Peterson N.A.H.A. performing stunts and signing autographs, RAS Racing with trial stunt shows, a 66-mile poker run, a judged bike show with awards, custom builders with masterpieces on display including Vince Neil’s bike from Mötley Crüe and Ozzy Osbourne’s bike, dyno drags, and vendor and sponsor exhibits along the closed and fenced streets at this family-friendly motorcycle and music festival.
“We recommend that motorcyclists and groups purchase their tickets early not only for convenience, but also to secure preferred parking, as there is limited space,” said Shelly McNaul, director of event operations for the SBCVB. “We’ve made it as simple as possible for attending chapters to pre-purchase to avoid entrance lines at the event.”
