The Hollister Motorcycle Rally know world wide as “the birthplace of the American biker” is experiencing some super growth. July 11th, 12th, and 13th will be the dates for this annual pilgrimage of bikers from all over the world. 2007 saw the largest crowds (over 130,000) to date with bikers traveling from as far away as France and Australia.
The vendors were also up which made Hollister the largest motorcycle marketplace in the west.
2008 is looking like a repeat with more vendors already signed up and the VIP parking passes selling stronger than last year. Horse Power Promotions has added some twists
to the VIP parking this year. For one, you receive a free 20.00 event t-shirt, plus you can get a photo with your scooter taken as a souvenir. What has not changed is you still get unlimited bike parking, rally pin, and a bag full of goodies including money saving coupons.
“I think that it is just that we have so much more going on this year than ever before”, stated Seth Doulton of Horse Power Promotions, the events promoter. Horse Power has had more time this year to organize with all the restart up stuff out of the way from last years rally.
Here is just a short list of some of the events and attractions that will keep the bikers busy over the 3 day weekend. Two great rides each day all starting at Corbin’s factory and organized by Open Roads Motorcycle Tours, Mission Bike Blessing on Sunday, Free motorcycle Thunderdrags Dyno Shootout, Installation Station were you can get goodies bolted on your ride, Jack Daniels Experience, bike builders from all over the US, House of Thunder Harley-Davidson stunt team, and as always Corbin factory tours, 3 Budweiser stages rocking all weekend, and tons of shopping.
