TOPEKA, KS - The Level 5 Heartland 500 presented by Hooters featuring the SunTrust MOTO-ST Endurance Racing Series, on August 16 and 17 is turning out to be a weekend full of racing and fun for fans of all ages.
Heartland Park welcomes the Kansas Army National Guard out to join the fun all weekend long. With them they will bring activities and challenges for everyone including a rock climbing wall, spider tent, a mechanical bull and many more fun activities.
In addition to the two-wheel racing, Saturday, August 16 will also feature the Topeka Sport Riders bike show. The show will feature many different classes with trophy and cash prizes for best of show, best paint, best cruiser and best sportbike. Registration is only $30 per motorcycle and is still open at www.tsrbikeshow.com. All proceeded from the show will go to League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).
An autograph session on Sunday, August 17 will feature MOTO-ST riders and motorcycle greats such as Jay Springsteen, Jimmy Filice and Gary Nixon. This will take place at 1 p.m. and give fans an opportunity to meet their favorite riders up-close and personal.
There will also be many opportunities for all riders to test out their bikes. Saturday, August 16, the Heartland Road Race Series (HRRS) will be hosting a motorcycle grudge match taking place at 8:30 p.m. For just $15, riders can race their bikes down the drag strip.
Ever want to find out what the HPT road course really feels like? Here is your chance. Bring your bike or car out for the chance to HPT for a couple of parade laps before the MOTO-ST feature race. Sunday, August 17 from 2 - 3 p.m. is your opportunity to be on the same track as the MOTO-ST stars.
