TOPEKA, KS. (July 1, 2008)- The Thunder of the big twins from American Motorcyclist Association and Grand National Championship Flat Track Racing Series returns to Heartland Park Topeka for the first time since 2000. The AMA GNC Flat Track Racing Series will take center stage in a special Fourth of July Firecracker Extravaganza presented by Topeka Harley-Davidson and BriggsAuto.com.
Heartland Park Topeka will open its gates to the public at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 4 and qualifying beginning at 4:30 p.m. Opening ceremonies are set for 7 p.m. and racing will immediately follow. The Expert Twins main event starts at 9 p.m. followed by the AMA main event at 9:15 p.m.
On Saturday, July 5, Topeka Harley-Davidson is proudly hosting a RiderÔ€s Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. The breakfast gives fans of all ages the opportunity to meet their favorite AMA GNC Flat Track racers in an up-close and personal setting.
Tickets to the AMA Flat Track Series are $20 in advance and included a pit pass. The day of the event tickets are $25 and pit passes are $5.Tickets are on sale now and can be ordered by going online to www.hpt.com, through Ticketmaster or by visiting Topeka Harley-Davidson.
