June 27, 2008 (La Palma, Calif.) – Today, Performance Machine, Inc. (PM) announced the Performance Machine Edition Showroom Program. The new program is designed to help improve profit margins, eliminate pricing comparisons between dealerships, and increase accessory sales for authorized Peformance Machine dealers.
“Upgrading a floor model bike with the PM Edition product is a winner for both the consumer and dealer,” said Ted Sands, Director of Public Relations for Performance Machine. “The consumer gets a turn key, customized bike that stands out among the sea of stock bikes and is able to finance the upgrades at the time of purchase. The dealer is rewarded with quicker turnover and additional profits upon sale.”
Customizing floor models also eliminates the customers’ ability to compare prices of the same model motorcycle with the dealership down the street. “It is a competitive market right now, consumers are researching their purchases and looking for the best value,” said one Southern California dealer who participates in the PM Edition Program.
The new program offers two product stages for the FL, Softail and Dyna Models. Stage I includes a set of PM wheels with matching front and rear discs and a belt sprocket in four distinct designs. Stage II includes the wheels and matching components as well as an upgrade to front and rear calipers. The Stage II FL packages also offers Contour Floorboards and PM Latch Covers.
Each PM Edition Bike package ships complete, ready to install with a PM Edition Logo Plate. A POS Handle Bar Hanger is also included to highlight accessory upgrades.
