Desperately Seeking Cycles
The Milwaukee Masterpiece (www.milwaukeemasterpiece.com) will celebrate its 10th edition on Sunday Aug. 24, 2014 with a retrospective of past winners combined with new entrants.
“The best way we know to celebrate our 10th edition is to showcase our most significant vehicles from years past, as we also extend a warm welcome to new participants,” said show chairman Leon Flagg.
Gunner’s Great Garage is c0-chair of the Masterpiece’s Antique & Classic Motorcycle class along with Luke Griesbach, a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America (www.AMCA.org)
We have been doing the motorcycle class for six years and it is never easy to line entrants up, but this year has been particularly difficult because everyone seems to be busy. If you have a beautiful, original 1972 or older motorcycle, please take a moment to look at the Masterpiece Website and see how wonderful this show on Milwaukee’s lakefront is.
There is no cost to enter, the show benefits various charities and the awards and trophies are really cool. And with some of the past winners returning, it sure to be a great display of vintage two-wheelers.
Please help us out. You can start the process of registering your bike by downloading an entry form from the show’s Website. The form then goes to the show office and will be sent from there to the class chairman for approval of the invitation. At this point at least a dozen bikes are needed for a great show.
I hope to see you there. — John “Gunner” Gunnell
(BTW-As you can see in the photo backgrounds, hundreds of classic cars, muscle cars and hot rods will be there, too).
