The 75th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally kicks off on August 3, 2015, running through August 9. It’s a week of concerts, rides including the legendary Mayor’s Ride, camaraderie, parties, burn-outs and bikes and this year promises, as always, to be a doozy.
Here’s a link to the calendar in case you haven’t already scoped out your options:
Our friends over at HDForums.com have put together a list of the fifteen things you need to know about Sturgis, including:
5. The rally has been held continuously except during World War II due to gas rationing.
10. Indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, trespassing, and driving on sidewalk will get you a $111 ticket in Sturgis.
Check out the rest of the list here:
There are also events celebrating women riders and women i nriding, including the seventh annual Sturgis Buffalo Chip® Biker Belles Celebration happening on Tuesday August 4 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at The Lodge at Deadwood.
