Chem Spec Paint Co. presented this customized motorcycle at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November. This cruiser started life as a 2001 Harley-Davidson Electraglide FLHTCU. To start the SEMA project. The bike was prepped and then squirted with Chem Spec’s “Metalux” kandypaint finish in a two-tone green and black combination. Black “water drop” flames were used to decorate the green-finished panels.

Metalux is a premium brand that uses state-of-the-art technology to enable accurate matches for over 140,000 colors. It is formulated with high-quality lightfast pigments that meet OEM color standards. The basecoat range features excellent coverage and flow. The system offers a compact range of toners to reduce paint Inventory. Metalux also features a full complement of hardeners, primers, specialized toners and accessories.

Lee Pickering’s LP Designz applied the custom Metalux  paint. Pickering describes himself as a “welder, painter, fabricator, tin knocker, pinstriper and hammer beater.”: SATA jet and SATA minijet 4400 guns were used in this build and the paint was provided by Lesa’s Auto Body, Dan’s Extreme Rides took care of the bike’s upholstery.

The Harley also features a Custom Audio sound system. Other sponsors ofg the SEMA build included Reikken (battery), Feuling Parts (cam, oil pump, cam plate and internal engine parts), Revolution Performance (crankshaft) amd Sumax (for body parts). Jay Segarra handle the engine rebuilding chores.
