George bought his ride 3 years ago when it only had 2800 miles on it. The paint work, done by  Chris Cruz was on it.  George loves dogs so the wolves got him interested, but more so how it was done. To him, it looked like it was a picture from a Franklin Mint collection and the low miles didn’t hurt as he does ride all year round in his home town of New Holland, PA.  A few of George’s  friends  have dressers and in George’s own words “what’s the first thing you think of when you hear the words ”Full Dresser”, you may think "OLD MANS BIKE"!” So he took off the lower fairings and upper fairing vents.

When George bought the bike, it wasn’t the show piece pictured above.  George modified an 18-wheeler lug nut cover which covers the rear axle.  As George states “I can't see paying $500 or more for a chrome axle when you  only see the ends of it. They don't make much bling bling for a full dresser that the average Joe can afford.” So in order to keep his costs down and still be able to take a trophy home he has chrome bolt-ons from Harley and Kuryakyn. Toppers went on for most of the bolts or stainless steel was changed out to chrome. The rear pulley is stock, but it was chromed. All the stock rotors are buffed out and polished.  Wheels are an off brand polished aluminum shined up with Zephyr Pro 40 metal polish and  Zephyr cleaning products. George added Boogey LED blue lights throughout the frame.   At the front is a 4" inch mirror windshield. The rear brake caliper is also stock and has been painted with heat paint dressed up with chrome toppers.  In the pictures the mufflers are from Ted’s Cycle Shack which have been replaced with "BUB" mufflers which sound great. George says “They sound like a custom full dresser should sound...Deep and Throaty!” The header pipes are Vance and Hines which are true duals.  Because of the salt air in Florida where the bike was from and George bought it at Classic Harley Davidson in Reading, PA., some of the chrome has been changed out for brand new.  What he has now is a bike worth showing.

And that’s exactly what he does several times a year.  His friend Mike Stone started George on the shows and showed him all the bling bling that can be put on a dresser. George’s first show was with Motorcycle Monthly magazine where he won first place there and was totally hooked. He now does that show twice a year. This year he showed at the Axis Of Steel in Lancaster, PA and won the Peoples Choice award. For a dresser that is one of the hardest awards to win,  so winning  at a big show like that, where there were 1.3 million dollars worth of bikes was a "SKY HIGH"!!
George has been at the New Holland bike show and cook off where the first year he did not place, but the second year he took next to the top prize which was BEST DETAILED.  Carlisle Bikefest he was awarded the Special Recognition award.  Harrisburg Shriners show he has taken first place two years in a row plus Judges Choice.  He had a Best in Show trophy from Iron Valley Harley Davidson and another win at a Farm Complex swap meet in Harrisburg, PA.   Continuing an impressive string of wins, George did the Triple Crown bike night which is Boyertown, Glenside, Lansdale (all in PA) where when you do all three shows, win or lose you get a trophy - George got four trophies including first place in all three shows.
When people ask George ‘Do you ride this bike or just show it?’ it always makes him grin. Since he rides all year round, he likes to keep his ride clean and for the Axis of Steel show he worked on it two weeks trying to make it almost perfect. George states “That won't happen (perfection) the paint has riding wear.” Also there is a chip in the paint on top of the tank where he was at a show and someone dropped something on it and he never found out who did it. He does big non money shows all the way to benefit shows, plus car/truck/motorcycle shows. So far in two years he has about 35 trophies.  George tries to do a show every weekend little to big.

As George says “Tried to keep it sleek, soft and smoothed. I took off as much Harley name as I could. Just look at it and the way it sounds and that is all the more you need.”  Ride on brother.
